Position Description
Nexen is a leading master distributor of aluminum products in USA. We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join our sales team. Successful candidate will be responsible for calling on potential and underserved accounts as well as existing customers. This position is responsible for building effective customer relationships, and providing excellent customer service to promote sales growth and customer loyalty.
Other roles and responsibilities include:
• Quickly builds strong relationships with contacts at all levels across a variety of functions within customer organizations but especially with purchasing decision makers. Develops customer personnel trust and confidence in Ryerson and its representatives.
• Keeps customers informed about industry and economic trends and Ryerson’s ability to assist customers in adapting to change.
• Develops and implements appropriate sales and commercial programs.
• Coordinate the activities of various departments to ensure appropriate overall account management successful and customer’s requirements are met.
• Works with service center and regional sales/product management to develop quotations and contract proposals that are responsive to customer needs and result in profitable sales for Nexen.
• Understands and keeps up-to-date on the competitive environment and provides market intelligence to sales management to help shape service center sales strategies, price levels and working capital decisions.
• Involves regional management, Global Accounts, or other corporate management, and Nexen supplier representatives in establishing and maintaining relationships at all levels of customer organization.
• Overall customer account management including implementation of margin analysis, competitive market information, and quality improvement initiatives.
•Profitable growth in customer needs, volume targets and price potential. Determining customer needs, volume targets and price potential.
• Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
• Bachelors degree
• 3+ years of sales experience, metals sales experience highly preferred- Aluminum products (Sheet & Plate) a Plus
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Problem-solving/conflict resolution skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
